A recurring private-counsel retainer for foreign property owners, investors, and families. The firm becomes your permanent legal desk in Greece — not a one-off transaction partner.
Fee on enquiry.
Engagement Letter
The formal legal agreement between the Firm and the Client. Sets out the scope of work, fee structure, payment terms, jurisdiction (Athens courts), governing law (Greek law), and the mutual obligations of both parties. Required before any substantive work begins.
The letter covers the Firm’s areas of expertise, the exclusive jurisdiction of the Athens courts, the Client’s duty to provide all documentation promptly and to pay invoices within seven days, the required source-of-funds declaration, and the confidentiality obligations binding both parties.
Document Checklist
The complete list of documents required for a Greek residence permit application, including Golden Visa matters. The checklist indicates which documents are required from the Main Applicant (M.A.) and which from each Family Member (Memb.). Foreign documents must be apostilled and officially translated into Greek. Certificates of relationship and status must not be older than six months.
Communication Rules
Scheduling: Email, WhatsApp, phone — for first contact and meeting coordination only. Sensitive documents are exchanged via the Secure Client Portal, not WhatsApp.
Substantive work: Secure portal, signed letters, and protected file exchange only. No sensitive matter is handled over consumer messaging apps.
Sensitive matters: Coordinator or family-office routing available. Billing and scheduling directed to a separate contact without loss of partner oversight.
Invoices & Retainers
Invoices are issued manually. Payment is made by bank transfer according to the instructions on the invoice. Billing may be directed to a coordinator, family office, or company account.
Frequently Asked Questions
What languages does Hellenic Law Firm work in?
English is Hellenic Law Firm's primary working language for advice and correspondence. If you are more comfortable in Turkish, Chinese or Arabic, you are equally welcome to get in touch — those conversations can be supported with a translation app, so language need not be a barrier to your first enquiry.
Can I instruct Hellenic Law Firm from outside Greece?
Yes. Most clients first contact the firm from abroad, and much of the early work — reviewing your situation, explaining your options and preparing documents — is handled by correspondence. Where a step in Greece requires your presence, the firm sets out the alternatives, including, where appropriate, acting through a notarised power of attorney.
What happens after I contact the firm?
After you send your enquiry through the contact form, by email or by telephone, a member of the firm reviews it and responds to outline the likely next steps and the information needed to advise you properly. An initial enquiry carries no obligation.
Which areas of law does Hellenic Law Firm handle?
The firm focuses on matters affecting international clients in Greece: the Golden Visa and residency, property purchase and due diligence, Greek citizenship by descent, inheritance involving foreign heirs, and related tax questions.
Will my enquiry be treated confidentially?
Yes. Communications with the firm are handled with professional confidentiality and discretion. Information you share when making contact is used only to assess and advise on your matter.
Where is Hellenic Law Firm based?
The firm is based in Athens, at 12 Athanasiou Diakou in the Acropolis district. It acts for clients across Europe, the Gulf, Asia, the Americas and beyond.
How are the firm's fees arranged?
Fees depend on the nature and complexity of your matter. The firm explains the likely scope and agrees a clear fee arrangement with you before substantive work begins, so there are no surprises.
